I have the same issue with cooking time on my Whirlpool wall oven (WFE54OHOES). Bought it in January and have not yet had a single recipe come out cooked. Outside is crisp, inside uncooked, after twice the amount of time it used to take. Its still under warranty. Service came out and told me to bake differently. Thats an answer for you. I am going to pursue this issue with Best Buy where we purchased it.

I made sure the back of the refrigerator was clean of debris and defrosted the freezer. This started occurring every 2 weeks. Upon a visit to Lowes, they indicated I would need to call the manufacturer. Well, after calling about 5 times and sitting on hold over 30 minutes each time, I gave up and decided I would just deal with having to defrost it every 2 weeks.Fast forward to September 2016. I wake up to $300 in food at 67 degrees in the fridge. Mind you, Im a caterer and have a wedding to cater in a few days. So here I sit on hold with Whirlpool. The man answered the phone after 40 minutes on hold. Then proceeds to tell me there are no technicians in my area and someone would get back to me in 24-48 business hours. Unacceptable, I say. I have now been on hold for another hour while he sees what he can do. Biggest load of crap ever. He didnt bother apologizing for the loss of food, and hasnt checked in with me once. I think the guy might have put me on hold and gone to lunch. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool appliance - and zero stars to their customer service team. This is **!

We purchased this Gold Series Whirlpool Dishwasher about 4 years ago. It worked very well up until April of this year. At that time, the main pump stopped working and it has to be replaced. There are just two of us in the household so the dishwasher was only used 2 or 3 times a week. We also kept it very clean with no build up. The gasket around the soap dispenser came out and one of the wheels fell off of the bottom rack. We just feel that 3 1/2 years is too soon for a major appliance to stop working and fall apart, especially given the light usage.

Would be better to have one super burner in the middle or back but two upfront is way too hot for regular cooking, even on lowest setting. Was going to use spray cleaner but cannot on convection ovens. In a bind what to do except scrub with Brillo. Anyone used Brillo?

I said, “Look up the recorded call and you will see the message is clear... They acted shifty and claimed I should buy a new starting at $1399!!! They would consider small discount?? This product is not even worth 1 star mark. Like everyone else the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader does not clean clothes well. It leaves streaks of dirt and lint. It does not agitate well at all and does not put enough water to the point where some of the clothes dont even get wet. I had a repair guy that was selected by the warranty company to come fix it and we were told that this is a problem with the machine and there is no fix to it. I am now stuck with a $500.00 machine that doesnt clean clothes. Hopefully Whirlpool will have so many complaints they will at least find a fix to this machine. In the meantime dont waste your money like I did.

Have replaced over the years all 20 water heaters. 19 of them were replaced with Whirlpool units bought at our local Lowes. It is my opinion that they are very unreliable. The tanks rust out in NO time. The electric units last just a little better than the gas units but still terrible. Of the 4 gas units so far I have had to replace 3 of them and the longest one lasted 6 years and 7 months!! One of them was just over 6 years and the other was 9 days away from warranty expiring. They replaced that one. If you have no other choice make sure to buy extended warranty if available. They just dont last!!

It broke on 10/3/15 and had a replacement on 10/13/15. It broke again on 12/26/15. I called for a replacement. I should get it in 10 days. Obviously, there is a flaw in their design. Ive been thru 2 new French door refrigerators with the icemakers in the door. Ive lost all of my food more than 6 times! There is a design flaw and they are no longer making the large models. I finally figured this out after reading multiple reviews from a lot of people with same/similar experiences. The compressor freezes then the loud noise all while the temp slowly lowers and ruining your food before you know whats happening. To add insult to injury... After ordering my THIRD replacement, their contracted installation company wont communicate with me to let me know when it will be delivered. Ive been without a fridge for 3 months! Calling them takes a full morning with hold times over an hour! I will never buy another product from them. I have a taboo LG French door with an ice maker in the door in my other home and it has been perfect for 7 years. Just be very careful and read reviews from people who have owned one for at least a year.

We will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product or even a product made by Whirlpool. The refrigerator quit cooling over a week ago. After calling Whirlpool service center they set up an appointment for a service call. The repairman came out said it was the refrigerator fan motor and another piece. He tried to order both but was told the parts would have to come from Lakeland, Florida and it would take about 5 days or so to receive them. We called Whirlpool. After being on the phone forever they finally said they would overnight the part to our home address then we should call the repairman to make a return visit. We received the parts last Thursday, called the repairman and he couldnt make it out here until today. When he got here and started to replace the part he discovered Whirlpool had sent the wrong fan motor. He called Whirlpool and they said the part was on back order and it would be shipped in 5 plus days or so. Both my husband and I talked with Whirlpool and the only thing they were willing to do is if they find the part they will ship it overnight then we would have to call the repairman and schedule another service call. They did say if we found the part they would reimburse us for the part. They wouldnt talk with us about replacing the fridge, etc. I will be out of a refrigerator for what looks like 2 plus weeks and this is not acceptable service from a company like Whirlpool. Pretty much everything in our fridge has gone bad. Whirlpool is not even willing to compensate us for our loss of food. They said all they could was offer us a 6 month extended warranty. We are completely unhappy with their service or rather lack thereof.

The first refrigerator was delivered with the side cabinet deeply dented in several areas. Another was delivered 4 weeks later. Silly me... I thought, Okay, no big deal... what could go wrong? I didnt take time off work again to receive the replacement. My son took delivery (never looked at it). I get home... the front of both doors looked like they had been kicked in all the way across! To add, the cabinet sides were textured (not smooth like what I ordered) and the door handles didnt match the other appliances. So, I called HDepot & called Whirlpool (only to be on the phone an hour each time due to high call volume. Imagine?). Then Whirlpool reps are talking to me like I am some sort of idiot... saying that the refrigerator was EXACTLY the same... not possible that the handles or sides were different!!! Because it was damaged (and I mean ridiculous! ) another 8 weeks for a replacement. Frig #3 arrives and I take time off to receive it. Ah, the right refrigerator... but again ~ handles dont match. Not POSSIBLE.. Ms. _ _ _ _... it is the exact refrigerator, those are the same handles. Hours and hours on the phone to HDepot and Whirlpool. Finally, HDepot rep has a WP rep at the store when I call, and bingo! Oh yes, there are two styles of the Exact same model. The handles are ordered... 10 weeks later I finally have matching handles! But, wait... gets better. The fridge has been loud from the start, CONSTANTLY running but, not cooling some areas and freezing in others. Then when you open the freezer it is like a burst of winter wonderland is unleashed in your face. There are sheaths of ice building up on the top of the inside door. Hmm, I think what is going on? The Whirlpool designated repair company comes out. Ah, well here is part of your problem. When the refrigerator was being put together they left a few thicknesses of blue packing tape between the door and the rubber seal in the freezer. The rep tried to fix it to no avail because the door was also warped. First they were going to replace the door. Waiting for another 10 weeks. Nobody calls, whats going on? Oh, never mind, or rather... that was never happening. I have spoken to many reps with Whirlpool, I have been polite with all. In turn, from most I get curt hard ball back. The offers to resolve this from Whirlpool have been ridiculous. I am sorry for my loyalty to Whirlpool, as it has not been reciprocated. I have had two more deliveries - both the wrong unit! I never thought there were others out there. What a mess. They should recall.

A couple of years ago I replaced my Whirlpool gas range because after seven years, the house was growing a gas smell that was becoming stronger. I called the gas company and they determined that it was the oven and not their problem. I called an appliance person who could not find the leak but charged me for the service call. Before I had him leave though, I called the gas company back and had the two talk. There was a conflict with their assessments. The service guy left frustrated. The gas company guy came back and again checked and told me that the oven is definitely leaking. He told me they use instruments, not soap, to determine leaks. With this, I was mad at the appliance company. After voicing my frustration, they were going to allow me to purchase a similar new Whirlpool freestanding gas range at a discount and deliver it for free. I relented and spent close to $600 for the new range. After installation, I realized that the quality was cheaper than my old one. The metal rods in the oven racks are thinner and less of them so they are further apart. The cooktop grates are already wearing and chipping. But the thing that has irked me the most is the burners. You cant adjust them to low for a long simmer because the flame goes out, not immediately, but when youre not around to watch it; and the whole house smells of gas fumes! I called the appliance store and they said that because I didnt buy an extended warranty and that a year has already passed, I would have to pay for the service charge. I called Whirlpool and they said that they have not encountered this problem with their stoves yet. Even while on the phone, I could turn every burner on separately and the flame would go out in a circular motion as I turned the knob to low. The only suggestion they had was to call my appliance company and have them look at it. I got nowhere and I was quite frustrated! These Whirlpool stoves should be recalled! Gas leaks are dangerous! I will never buy a Whirlpool again!

Call a repair person. He come out, diagnose the problems, orders $825 worth of parts for a $899 refrigerator, puts the parts in. On the temperature in the freezer reads 80 degrees. No its order $200 more parts for this scrap metal pile. At what point do the people give a damn at the consumer, its not like anybody has common sense. Im going on two weeks without a ten-month-old refrigerator and four days waiting for them to figure this out. Would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone who cares about fair treatment.

I have two homes in which I have Whirlpool microwaves, and both have huge cracks in the door and small pieces inside the doors beginning to fall out. It deeply concerns me that it will cost more to replace the doors than to replace the microwaves. I have always believed in Whirlpool appliances but now feel that I will have to change brands. Based on good reviews at the time I purchased the Cabrio. Nothing gets clean. The detergent stays on the clothes and unless I use the Bulk senor. Otherwise I get horrible white marks on all the dark clothes. I cant even get the marks off with a wet rag. So washing only a few items I have to use Bulk. The sound is so bad from the machine, my dog runs in the closet and shakes. I feel so bad for her. How can a popular name like Whirlpool make such an inferior product? They dont even stand behind it. They set an appointment for next Tuesday between 12pm and 5pm. Said ok.Was making so much noise, and no longer freezing everything so call said company. Lady was very rude, and said they would not be out on Tuesday but sometime the following week. This would not work for us so called another repair shop, said they would be out. They were here before 6pm. Found out that they have been having this problem, had same type of call already this week. Repair for this problem would be over $1100.00. No thank you! Would just as soon junk this appliance. So very sorry we wasted our money on this.

I have had many products from them and have enjoyed them all. They have been quite reliable over the last 9 years. They are out of date but they work. Not a lot of bells and whistles but still nice. They are both full size and have enough options for me. I am still happy with the pair and would purchase again if needed in the future. Price was good at the time as I cannot see spending $1K on them. Not always the more expensive is a good idea either.

I would like the money back for the extended warranty so that I could buy a new dryer and all I get is a runaround from both the service company and whirlpool. August 15, 2011 - We purchased a new Whirlpool Water Heater Model N50T61-403 for $398 from Lowes. We used their recommended installer (that was our first mistake!). He made the following installation mistakes: 1. He connected the hot water to the cold water & the cold water to the hot water. 2. He installed DRYER venting instead of HVAC venting. 3. He used flammable tape on the venting instead of screws. 4. He had incompatible metals touching near the gas line which can create an electrical charge & thus, a sparking situation. 5. He left us with a gas leak. 6. He did not install the screen that is supposed to surround the base of the water heater.7. He failed to strap down the expansion tank.These failures were discovered by an HVAC person who was in our basem*nt to give an estimate on a replacement of the furnace & AC coil at the same time this genius was installing our water heater. The installer overheard the comments & literally... he disappeared & we never saw him again! We told all of this to Lowes & they were not phased in the least -- indeed, they didnt even seem surprised! They sent out a few other guys from the same company to correct the errors. So, it finally was installed & passed the county inspection & we had hot water again... for a little while. Within a few months the water heater pilot light would not stay lit. I was having to relight it once a week or so. After much arm twisting, we were finally able to get Whirlpool to send out a new pilot light assembly and pay for the installation. It was installed July 25, 2012. And.... it worked for 8 months. After returning from a trip on April 30, 2013, we went to take showers & the water was cold. The same problem was happening again... The pilot light had gone out while we were out of town & it will not stay lit & I have to relight it every 2-3 days.We talked to an assistant manager at the Lowes store where it was purchased. He talked to Whirlpool & Whirlpool said they would pay for the parts but not the service call which would be $149. I also learned today from the same manager that Whirlpool will not replace the product until they have replaced the same parts three times. Hmmmm.... Lets do some basic math here. $149 x 3 = $447! Thats MORE than the water heater cost! We believe that the water heater has been defective from day one & we also contend that their replacement part for the pilot light assembly is also defective (by design??). A pilot light assembly should last longer than 8 months!We are getting ready to build a new home within the next year. We will get to choose our supplier & the manufacturer of the appliances that will be in our home. Needless to say, Lowes will not be on the list. They keep saying, Our hands are tied. (Not buying it!) And Whirlpool will definitely be off of our list as their customer service is the worst Ive ever seen & their product quality is sub par. The other thing I experienced with Lowes was that when I tried to leave a review on their site for this specific product... twice... both reviews were rejected. The reviews presented the facts as Ive stated here, but because they showed Lowes & Whirlpool in a negative light, they were not posted on lowes.com. So, consumer beware -- their reviews are heavily screened so that the negative reviews rarely get posted. The consumer should be aware that the reviews on Lowes website are heavily screened & therefore do not equally represent consumers who have had a negative experience. This is an integrity issue.

After an hour or two, it started getting stronger and stronger so my husband looked at the fridge. There was smoke pouring at the back of it so he pulled it away from the wall and we unplugged it. Surprisingly, the plug was not hot. Had I not been home, it could have caught fire, burned the house down and killed my dog! I am furious about this. When I called, Whirlpool says, That model is not under a recall. Would you like me to transfer you to service for repair? Really? Those big corporations dont care! There needs to be a recall on this because I have seen this same problem many times on blogs and forums. Well, guess what, I used to be a Whirlpool fan, not anymore! Now, I went and purchased a new refrigerator, and the brand name is Samsung! I recently bought a Samsung front loading washer and dryer and they are great. It looks like the Whirlpool dishwasher in my kitchen will be next! I bet Samsung makes a nice dishwasher.

When asked if this was an issue with their product, the repairman answered, I have never heard of anything like this before. After reading these reviews: Such a Liar! I wouldnt believe anything Whirlpool, or their representatives told me about their products now. You never know when youre going to have a cold shower getting ready for work in the morning. I literally could have bought a new water heater for what Ive spent on thermocouples the last few years. The last two times it went out, I had to replace it twice within 1 day. Im sick of replacing it and have decided to install a new hot water heater. They state that the technicians say there is nothing wrong with the machine. I was told by both of the technicians that they removed the lint trap from this machine, but no one is taking responsibility. My whites have blue lint and my darks have white lint, so too strong an agitation, as suggested by one repairmen is completely wrong! What to do when you spend over $1,000 on a washer/dryer combo and they dont work correctly and Whirlpool doesnt stand behind their product? Honestly, I will never buy another product from this company, and I 60 y/o and never made a complaint before about a appliance in my life!!! I dont even think I can give them 1 star! DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL - CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!

I have filed an online complaint with Whirlpool and the site stated that I would hear back within three working days. Guess what.... no reply. I just wanted to post a quick response to a problem that so many people are having with their Whirlpool FG1H5040T3NOV Hot Water Heater. The biggest problem is the Pilot Light Wont Stay Lit. Ive had this water heater for many years now (since 2005) and two days ago we didnt have any hot water. I checked the heater and found that the pilot light was out and that when I lit the pilot light with the igniter, it wouldnt stay light. This could have been a number of problems causing this issue but heres what I did to get it fixed. I looked around on the internet and saw that many people had this same problem and several years ago Whirlpool gave out warranty replacement upgrade kits to fix it. I called Whirlpool support, gave them my serial number and mentioned the upgraded kit. Unfortunately, my 9-year warranty expired a few months ago and I am no longer able to get the upgrade kit for free. Apparently this upgrade kit was part of a settlement for this water heater that was sold through Lowes. The upgrade kit has a few enhancements including an adapter to allow the use of a standard right hand threaded thermocouple as well as a larger pilot light window and added safety thermal switch. This is definitely an improvement over the old.Anyway, I looked at Lowes website for this upgrade kit and their description and internal part number is slightly different but it is the same thing as confirmed by Whirlpool. Whirlpools part number is 6910813 for the conversion kit. Lowes calls this part American Water Heater Company Gas Enhancement Kit 5040T NG. This kit is only $35 which isnt bad. So, I went to Lowes, purchased the kit. The instructions are included and are even good for a novice. It took me about an hour to complete the changeover. Youll need to remove the old burner and orifice to use them on the new kit. I then checked for gas leaks. I lit the pilot and when I turned on the heater, the burner lit right up. All is good now!

The second problem is it goes off balance no matter what the load is. I was going to have it fixed (if possible). After reading all the above I wont waste any more money on it and go buy an old fashioned reliable washer. What a piece of money sucking machine especially when I dont have any extra money to waste down the drain. I wish I knew before. The doors were not the same height. There were stains (which looked like rust) on both doors. A shelf on the door and one in the fridge were missing. One of the deliverymen adjusted the door height then, and the door has been creaking on opening/closing since. That door has been replaced, but the problem continues. The freezer (which has an icemaker/water dispenser built in) started to produce ice on the inside of the unit door and on the wall surfaces. Attempts made to rectify the problem were unsuccessful. A new freezer door was ordered. After the door replacement, the frost problem got worse. I can fax you a copy of all service contacts so far (at least 7). Please help me replace this lemon.

My first thought was I have been a homeowner for 30 years and countless appliances and never heard such a horrible sound. At the same time they sold me an extended warranty over the phone. He assured me sounds were covered. The sound just kept getting louder and more frequent. I could not take this piercing sound and called back. They sent a local repair service. At the time the repair person came out the refrigerator was not making the sound. I played a video recording and the repairman even said what an terrible sound it was. He continued to check everything over and said - everything looks good. I dont know what the sound is coming from. I asked, What is Whirlpool going to do? He said, nothing, the warranty ran out and your extended warranty does not cover sounds. What a ripoff! Now the drawers broke and another thing they wont cover! I also have problems with the dishwasher I purchased at the same time. Even putting on the extended hot dry I need to wipe everything off. I should have just open a window a tossed out over 2k. The sound is so horrible I am being forced to junk the refrigerator and purchase a new one. Dont purchase Whirlpool and never purchase extended warranty over the phone.

If you are in the market for a new refrigerator, STAY AWAY from Whirlpool Top Freezer models. Mine just failed after only 5 years and Whirlpool will NOT do a thing about it, except ask, Did you buy the extended warranty? The compressor in my refrig was made in Mexico by a company called Embraco. I used to work for Whirlpool and these compressors were garbage then, and I guess still are, in my opinion.The 5 year sealed system warranty was removed from these refrig years ago and I can only assume this is why. If you want the 5 year SS warranty, buy a side by side or French door model. Just be sure it doesnt have an Embraco compressor on it! And while I am not a believer in them, planned obsolescence dictates you probably should buy the extended warranty/service plan for such a purchase. Dont rely on positive past experience, even for a company like Whirlpool. Their gold ring of promise emblem is very tarnished for me now.
