When Was Jon Bon Jovi Born?
Jon Bon Jovi was born John Francis Bongiovi Jr. on March 2, 1962 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. His father John Francis Bongiovi Sr. is a barber and a former Marine. His mother Carol Sharkey is a former model and Playboy bunny who also served in the U.S. Marines.
Jon has two younger brothers, Anthony and Matthew.
Jon was raised Catholic and attended a Catholic school growing up. He began playing music at the age of 12, when he formed his first band Raze.
After graduating from high school, Jon began pursuing music full time. It wasn’t long before his career took off.
How Did Jon Bon Jovi Launch His Career?
In 1983, Jon founded his eponymous band Bon Jovi. He formed the band along with the guitarist Richie Sambora, bassist Alec John Such, drummer Tico Torres, and keyboardist David Bryan.
Bon Jovi released its first album in 1984. The band’s debut single “Runaway” managed to crack the Top 40.
The band’s big break came in 1986 with the release of their their third album “Slippery When Wet.” This album became a massive hit and included three top ten singles, with two reaching number one: “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
The rest, as they say, is history. Bon Jovi continues to be a hugely successful band to this day!

How Many Albums Has Jon Bon Jovi Released?
Jon has released two solo albums and 16 albums with Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi dropped it’s most recent album “Forever” on Friday, June 7.
Jon recorded the album in just seven weeks with Torres and Bryan along with bassist Hugh McDonald, guitarist Phil X, percussionist Everett Bradley and rhythm guitarist John Shanks.
“Nothing was on delay. It just flowed,”Jon said of the album.

Is Jon Bon Jovi Married?
Jon has been married to his wife Dorothea Hurley since 1989. That year, the couple eloped in Las Vegas, Nevada, much to the surprise of their family and friends.
Jon later told People Magazine that “it shocked a lot of people —shocked about everybody: the band, management, agents, lawyers, parents, you name it.”
“After we did it, people were trying to take it away, until I stood up and went, ‘Wait a minute, why are we living our life for anyone else?'” he added. “And 35 years later, we’re still married.”
Looking back now, Jon has no regrets.
“We got it right the first time,” he said.

How Many Kids Does Jon Bon Jovi Have?
Jon and Dorothea are the proud parents of four children. Their oldest child Stephanie was born in 1993. Sadly, she overdosed on drugs in 2012, which Jon called a “terrible bump in the road.” Thankfully, she survived and is now thriving.
Jon and Dorothea next welcomed their son Jesse in 1995. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, he launched the Hampton Water Wine Companywith his father. In 2022, Jesse got married in the same Las Vegas chapel where his parents eloped decades before.
Jon and Dorothea’s third child is Jake, who was born in 2002. Earlier this year, he married the Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown. Afterwards, they appear to have honeymooned in Florida,where they posted Instagram picturesfrom a Universal Studios trip.
