Anastasia Kingsnorth has been making YouTube videos since she was 11-years-old - but who is the influencer that keeps pranking everyone about Love Island? Here's everything we know about the star
Every year, influencer Anastasia Kingsnorth stirs the pot and sends Love Island fans into a frenzy by saying she's heading into the famous villa. But who is the brunette bombshell that everyone's talking about?
With one million Instagram followers, the 23-year-old has become a well-known name in influencer land. With an Instagram feed full of fashionable outfits, lavish holidays and lifestyle videos, Anastasia is a UK-based YouTuber and has been creating content since 2014 - mainly focusing on beauty, fashion and lifestyle.
She also has a famous best pal - Saffron Barker, another influencer and YouTuber from the UK. The pair have their own popular podcast called Sex, Lies & DM Slides. As well as her podcast, Anastasia has also recently launched her first book called Relationship Status, which she calls her "proudest moment to date".
Family life
The 23-year-old hails from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire but is now based in Manchester. She started off on YouTube and has now grown her social media following with over four million followers across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and X. Anastasia started creating YouTube videos at just 11 years old where she would video herself opening toys. She then moved into the world of beauty at 14 and has been doing it ever since.
She candidly opened up to Heat Magazine about growing up, where she revealed she didn't live a "very fortunate life" and said that even though her mum always did the "absolute best" they didn't have a lot at all. Anastasia said: "I remember because I was filming on my laptop, I was begging my mum because I needed something else to film on and she worked so hard to get me that iPad. She got it in a paid monthly contract because we just couldn't afford to buy it outright."
Now she's very grateful for her glam life and says all she ever wanted to do was "give back to my mum". The success of her YouTube channel while at school meant she took a break from sixth form. According to Heat, she was going to study photography, English literature and either biology or physics - but at the time she had 250,000 subscribers so decided to drop out.
The influencer was told she could return to sixth form the following year, but said: "Luckily in that year my YouTube channel took off." Since then, she has steadily built her online presence, and also recently revealed the launch of her new book, where she hinted at her dating life. Anastasoa says she's "re-entered her single girl era" and hopes to take her fans on her journey of dating again.
Influencer career
Anastasia started her career off as a YouTuber, and still regularly shares videos of her life as well as pranks and hilarious 24 hour challenge videos - where she first started to get known and seen. From this, her career has grown ever since, and it's rumoured she has an impressive net worth of £1 million.
Anastasia co-hosts the popular Sex, Lies & DM Slides alongside famous BFF and fellow influencer and YouTuber Saffron Barker, where the pair unpack all of their drama, love lives and juicy messages. Not only does she digress about her love life on her podcast, she has also shared her life lessons in the world of dating in her new book called 'Relationship Status: My Survival Guide to Love, Dating and Heartbreak.'
She has also worked with an array of well-known brands such as Lounge, ITV (covering Love Island villa tours, a Mamma Mia show trip to Greece and more), White Fox Boutique, PLT, ASOS, Jack Wills and L'Oréal. Not only does she work with brands on social media, but Anastasia also joined the Government's campaign to fight loneliness. She worked alongside Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, as well as Made In Chelsea's Josh Patterson, influencer Bronte King, and Heartstopper's Bradley Riches on the project.
She told PA that the most challenging aspect of addressing loneliness is "self-acknowledgment and then reaching out to someone else for help".
Love Island jibe
Every year Anastasia hints that she may be entering the Love Island Villa - a prank she has been pulling off for a good few years. The stunt sees her posting what looks to be official Love Island PR photos and videos, teasing her arrival to the villa and it sends fans into a frenzy each time.
This year, Anastasia posted a photo with the same set-up as the real Love Island cast for 2024 with the caption: "I heard you're missing a bombshell?" A caption any Love Island fan would know means she's heading to the villa. The prank even fooled former Islander Chloe Burrows who commented: "WAIT IS THIS REAL."
However, addressing the rumours, Anastasia then confirmed on her YouTube channel that she was "pranking her friends". She then 'thanked' Love Island and ITV for helping her pull it off and said: "Behind the scenes of my Love Island promo photo thank you @loveisland @itvxofficial for helping me do this. The full video is out now over on my YouTube."
